Estimating the Value of your Toy Cash Register
Are you wondering how much your toy cash
register is worth? Here are some things to try:
1. Do a search on www.eBay.com
for similar items. This is the simplest and quickest way to find
out the value of just about anything.
2. Check out my collection. You might see your
register there and be able to estimate the value in comparison
to what I have. I do not collect standard 1970's type Tom Thumbs
or any type of registering banks (like Uncle Sams).
3. Get it Appraised at Antique
Toys.com who offers toy appraisals for $5. Keep in mind that
in today's international market something that is worth $10 one
day can be worth $95 the next. This exact thing happened to me
with my Richie Rich toy cash register. Timing is important as
well as how expertly you list your item to sell.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the vast
majority of toy cash registers are worth $20 or less (thanks
to eBay). There are only about 15 antique toy cash registers
that are worth more than $50. You can find photos of most of
these somewhere in my collection, mostly in my wish list. In
some cases I lucked out and got them inexpensively.
