Catering was my hobby for many years and I still enjoy developing new recipes. When it comes to party food (and many of my meal recipes as well) the Prime Directives are:

  • Quick & Easy

  • Inexpensive

  • Tastes Good at Room Temperature

  • No protein that can grow bacteria at room temperature

 

Catering Recipes

My catering recipes are specifically designed for party food which I made as part of my hobby Pizzazz Party Platters. That is, they are low cost, low labor oriented and use only ingredients that are fine at room temperature (no protein), with a few exceptions. If you're making platters with food that needs to be kept cold, pick up one of those platters that has a freezable inner core like the Chillzane from The Pampered Chef.
